A Reputable Organisation is looking for a Tractor Foreman

Description :

The position requires a qualified Tractor Mechanic responsible to competently coordinate and supervise artisans and assistants in all tractor fleet maintenance activities by ensuring consistent service availability to user departments through inspecting, carrying out routine preventative and scheduled/planned maintenance activities with 100% compliance to technical manuals, written procedures and/or verbal instructions while enforcing adherence to all company safety and quality standards including SOPs

Duties, Responsibilities And Attributes:
Ensuring fleet’s overall equipment effectiveness to user departments by coordinating inspections, testing and preventive planned maintenance checks with reference to SOPs
Attending and coordinating all tractor fleet breakdowns immediately as they occur by troubleshooting/diagnosing reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
Coordinating and performing all repairs, maintenance and diagnostic tests on tractors enforcing laid down procedures
Supervising and performing the disassembling and assembling of tractor related accessories from technical manuals and written procedures
Ordering and maintaining all relevant components/spares required for effective day to day running of the section
Performing Risk Assessments for every task, maintaining and focusing on safe work practices and a safe work environment.
Education, Skills And Experience:
An apprenticeship trained artisan Motor Mechanics to include Tractor and Diesel
At least 7 years post qualifying experience of which 2 years most been spent in tractor fleet maintenance within an Agriculture industry
A team player with extensive maintenance knowledge and diagnostic of CASE model and other related machinery
Ability to work under pressure and after normal hours as well as effectively supervise a team of subordinates
Clean Class 4 Driver’s license
