DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER
FOREST RESEARCH AND TRAINING
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to till the at. post that has arisen within the Forest Commission.
Based in Harare and reporting to the General Manager the Deputy General Manager shall be responsible for the overall implementation of policies formulated by the Board of Commissioners as they pertain to Forest Reseatch. Training and Development. The Deputy General Manager shall be directly responsible for the development of and implementation of forest research, training and development programs.
The ideal candidate should have the following:
A minimum of a BSc. or Msc Degree in forestry management or other related sciences,.
A PhD in forestry management or other related sciences will be preferable.
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience of which must be at a relatively senior level in a forest research, training and development.
Innovative research skills with a bias towards forest, management transformation and conservation.
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to write clear reports to suit various clientele.
Excellent team building and participation skills
A high level of self motivation and results orientation
A high level of maturity mature and should not be less than 40 years of age.
Terms of appointment:
This is a contract and designated position within Forestry Commission.
Remuneration levels will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will only be disclosed to short-listed candidates
