Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of property files
  • Recording and making preliminary assessment of change of use ,lease and cession applications
  • Carryout  clerical and administrative duties within the department
  • Assist in developing and compiling data required for reports,presentations and display
  • Preliminary review and filing of building plans and permit applications to assure compliance with regulations and requirements
  •  May conduct field,collect parcel data,and search land records;research and compile information on a variety of planning issues fro multiple sources.
  • Maintaining council waiting lists
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by a superior

Person Specification

  • Must be a holder of a relevant social science diploma/degree,preferably(Administration,Local Governance,Development Studies,Rural development,Rural &Urban Planning)
  • At least two years experience in a local authority environment
  • Must be reputable
  • Must be ICT competent
