CORPORATE LEGAL SERVICES OFFICER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the above position that has arisen within the Forest, Commission. Forestry Commission is an organization involved in forest related conservation and extension services, research and training. safari operations and income generating activities.
The position Based in Harare and reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, the incumbent is expected to be versatile, self-starter capable of understanding and appraising the entire legal activities of the Forestry Commission. especially on the Forest Act Chapter 19:05 and the Communal Land Forest Produce Act Chapter 19:04.
The Corporate Legal Services Ofticer shall also be responsible for advising on any other legal matters affecting the Forest, Commission: ensuring that the organisation complies with the last and oversee litigation.
The ideal candidate should have the following:
Must be a holder of a Bachelor of Law Degree.
Five years experience with handling corporate legal affairs including litigations and legal draft..
Knowledge of commercial law in general and pieces of legislation got ming the management of national forests and natural resources. ,
Must be a registered Legal practitioner.
Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Good analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. ,
Excellent corporate legal report writing skills.
Clean class 4 drivers licence.
Key Responsibilities Conducting extensive due diligence reviews on corporate legal matters. Negotiating and
Drafting agreements. Maintenance of the Authority ‘s lease register. Ensuring that all Forestry Commission communisation material is structured correctly and legal!, sound. Litigation and aher related duties a auigned by supervisor.
