REPORTS TO: CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Chief Pharmacist which has arisen within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Bsc Honours Degree in Pharmacy
• A post graduate/Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Pharmacy.
• Must be registered with the Pharmacist council of Zimbabwe
Duties and responsibilities
Responsible and accountable for central hospital pharmaceutical services.
Plans, organize, direct, manage, coordinate and oversee the activities and operations of central hospital pharmacy department and services.

* Participate in the development and implementation of the hospital overall annual plan.
• Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate strategies, goalsand objectives of the department.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery methods and procedures and taking appropriate action.
• Ensure accurate dispensing and distribution of drugs and medicinesto patients and monitor drug side effects.
• Provide advice to clinicians and patients on how to achieve best results with available drugs and medicines.
• Manage and participate in the development and administration of the department’s budget.
• Ensure continuous supply, storage and safety of drugs, medicines and supplies.
• Facilitate training of pharmacy personnel and advise medical staff on pharmaceutical utilization.
• Contributingto central hospital policy formulation,review and planning process.
• Prepare pharmaceutical monthly, quarterly, annual and other plans and reports.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Clinical Director.
