Essential Competencies and Requirements
• A degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 7 years’ experience in power generation or heavy industry
• Certification in project management is an added advantage
• Corporate membership of recognised professional institution
• Technical and analytical skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills
Key Responsibilities
Ensure statutory compliance of all temporary and permanent electrical works
• Review and prepare written recommendations for all electrical and instrumentation engineering designs and drawings submitted by the Contractor
• Ensure all electrical SHEQ risks and aspects are managed and we have zero accidents in the electrical section.
• Designs and costs temporary and permanent structures required for the implementation of the project
Participates in project budget planning and development and comes up with proposals
• Monitors project progress and identifies potential problem areas
• Prepares plant and equipment for testing and commissioning
• Monitors critical parameters dining and after test runs and commissioning of equipment
Evaluates the project from preparatory works to completion and produces adetailed report
• Participates in Vendor Quality Surveillances, Factory and Site acceptance tests.
• Prepares procedures on quality and ensures that they are adhered to
• Leads Electrical Technicians in quality control and assurance of works
