Sustainable Agriculture Technology (SAT) is a progressive local NGO that is part of a Consortium implementing a beef value chain development project in Matabeleland North and Masvingo Provinces, with support from the European Union in Zimbabwe. World Vision Zimbabwe is the Consortium Lead, and other partners include Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and the Zimbabwe Agricultural Development Trust (ZADT).

SAT is looking for a dynamic, self-driven and results-oriented Private Sector Engagement Specialist (PSES) to support the implementation of the above-mentioned project. The ideal candidate should have the following qualities and attributes, and only candidates which suit the below criteria should apply:

At least a Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture and / or Veterinary Studies – Other important qualifications in addition to these minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Finance, Strategic Management or Economics; A clear understanding of the beef industry in Zimbabwe, including an analysis of the constraints / bottlenecks and opportunities that need to be addressed and exploited in order to stimulate the inclusive and sustainable participation of small-to-medium scale beef producers in targeted locations; Proven knowledge, connections and at least 10 years’ demonstrable experience of actively engaging with the private sector and other value chain actors in the beef industry in Zimbabwe in ways that promote and support the development of small-to-medium scale beef producers; Clear knowledge and experience in developing and managing partnerships and business models that promote the inclusive and sustainable participation of small-to-medium scale beef producers in Zimbabwe or the SADC region; Exciting innovations, models and market-driven ideas that could help place SAT and the Consortium at the cutting edge of inclusive and sustainable beef value chain development in Zimbabwe; Proven experience of working with and leading diversified teams and working in Consortia.
