Responsibilities and Job Functions Include
Attract young people to services; Perform HIV testing; Initiate and provide follow up ART and monitor treatment; Give Contraception and treat STIs; Supply condoms and demonstrate condom use; Provide general counselling; Collect specimens for laboratory testing; Communicate with relevant community and health facility stakeholders.
Training, Skills, Experience and Characteristic Required
Written and oral proficiency in Ndebele, English and Shona; A degree or diploma in nursing, Driver’s license is an added advantage; Certificate in Rapid HIV testing; Able to relate well with young people; Excellent communication skills; Flexibility in hours of work; Enthusiastic and friendly; Tolerant, and non-judgmental; Demonstrated ability to discuss sensitive HIV, SRH and other sensitive issues e.g. mental health, substance use with young people; Familiar with local communities where research is being conducted; Previous research experience; Able to work under minimal supervision and complete study forms.
